Serving Clearwater, Tampa, Largo, St. Petersburg, Palm Harbor, FL
Many auto manufacturing companies seem to be working hard each day for a better SUV model. Today the crossover SUV battle looms down to Hyundai Santa Fe and its rival 2017 Kia Sorento. The battle comes down to a very sharp edge where you as a buyer has to be very keen or to choose which one to take home with you. Hyundai has tried so much to improve on Santa Fe's design, likewise with KIA having worked too hard to improve on its 2017 Sorento model. Let's take a look at what the two models have to offer, and how far they've gone in customer satisfaction for the 2017 models.
Performance
Both cars come with variable engine capacities and options, ranging from between 2.4 to 4.2-liter engine capacity. Taking a standard measure which is a 3.3-liter engine capacity, both cars seem to have the same engine capacity and a slight difference in the power output. Both 2017 car models come with a standard 3.3 liter V6 engine. Both cars have an optional all-wheel-drive capability with a six-speed transmission capability. Both cars have a 290 horsepower capability at 6400rpm. The engines have a torque power of 252ft-lbs at 5200rpm. When it comes to fuel consumption, 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe seems to be more fuel economical than the Kia Sorento. Santa Fe has a Fuel Economy of 17/22mpg at city/highway respectively. The 2017 Kia Sorento has a fuel economy of 18 city / 23 highway mpg capacity*. It's a small difference, but it counts. So if you need a conservative fuel SUV, then 2017 is the machine to go for.
Appearance
Both cars have an appealing outward look, but the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe clearly has a more polished exterior, making it much more attractive and appealing to the eye than the Kia Sorento. Both cars are more or less the same when it comes to the interior space and look. Santa Fe, however, has a carrying capacity of 6, while the Kia Sorento has a carrying capacity of 7. However, the Kia Sorento's back row seats aren't that comfortable as they're squeezed so much together that the Santa Fe is a bit more comfortable than the KIA Sorento's. So if you're looking forward to your back seat passengers feeling comfortable and free, then Santa Fe is what you should be looking for.
Safety
Both cars have standard security features but the 2017 Santa Fe seems to have an upper hand on extra security features. Both models have a standard airbag deployment feature, Anti-theft control feature, and Anti-lock Brakes (ABS). The Hyundai Santa Fe, however, has a stolen vehicle track assistant and vehicle alarm system which are not available on the Kia Sorento.
